I, Alan, started out weighting 239 lbs before I started this routine and now I weight 217lbs! I feel better and have more energy and my back doesn’t hurt like it use too. He asked us what was our reason for working out? And we both responded that we just want to get healthy, see we have a plan we want to be able to travel and do life besides the TV, we want to see our grandchildren and enjoy life to the fullest! We started on Feb 1st 2019 and that was the Best Decision we ever made! We workout with Michael 2 days a week (Monday & Friday) at 5am with others who are committed to getting healthy as well. We met with Michael Angelo Berry personal trainer and he explained the gym, the training programs, the meal plans, set us up with the App which has thousands of workout plans to choose from and gave us a tour of the gym as well. But at Anytime Fitness, at least in our case, it was not like that at all. I was surprised because most gyms say just come in sign some paperwork and here is your badge and or key go workout whenever you wish. So Tracy called and made an appointment with Michael Angelo Berry and I was like “an appointment, why an appointment?“ Tracy said that’s the first step. We kept driving past this gym everyday called Anytime Fitness and my first thought was, geez another gym that’s the same old, same old, that we tried years ago, and I was like nope! But we decided well maybe it would be different. We tried the other gyms Planet Fitness and I tried 24/7 Fitness but just didn’t work for us! See we are not motivated that way to be honest, we need to have a place where we belong, someone to push us, someone to make us accountable. And we tried to workout on our own, but you and I both know that doesn’t work very well. But life happens job schedule changes and such, in any case the gym dissolved and we stopped, for a bit, we tried otherĬrossFit gyms but were disappointed in the trainer and the environment we were in, so we quit! Yup Quit! And I gained weight about 240lbs of wasted fat space. It was working for us at the time we did this routine for about 4 or 5 years and we attended the session 3-4 days a week. So he invited us to his gym where they did a combination of strength training and cardio CrossFit type workouts. We felt all we did was work, do yard work and eat dinner then sit behind the TV and just waste our time with a useless routines! I will admit it did start to wear on us, doing nothing but the same dull boring lazy couch potatoes thing! Tracy and I many years back started doing cross-fit through a friend who trained us, trained us well I might add! John Stevens a very good friend of ours who I choose to call family, who is a avid power lifter came to us and said you guys really need to start getting active.
